Meteorology closely relates to people`s daily life. It is always the key points for scientific resea rch in meteorology that the observation and the transmission of changeable meteorological paramet ers in time and accuracy. Based on the basic principles of software radio, a program of a receiver ai ming at the meteorological sounding wireless data transmission has been put forward, a meteorologi cal receiver analog front end circuits have been designed, simulated and implemented, and the mete orological date transmission modulation, demodulation and synchronized receiving have been desig ned and implemented, the transmission experiments on meteorological sounding receiver has been a ccomplished.In this paper, firstly, meteorological sounding and software radio working principles is introduc ed. The analyses and calculations on meteorological sounding communications channels, respective ly comparisons on radio platforms` structures, receivers` systems as well as hardware implementati on platforms and the implementation of the basic structure of meteorological sounding receivers. Fo r low noise amplifiers, module selection, simulation, circuit board printing and testing and improvin g, the variable gain amplifier designing, welding and testing as well as making an amplifier module according with system requirements have been implemented. After analyzing and comparing variou s structures of frequency selecting filter of meteorology radio transmission channels, LC filter has b een simulated correspondingly, up to the application index of data receiving platform. The data rece iving and sending platform software development basing on Matlab, data transmission has been imp lemented and function modules of modulation and demodulation, encoding, synchronization and do wn converting have been realized by software, and basic communication system signal flow framew ork has been built to simulate the link of meteorological sounding communication, laying the found ation for following products development.
