With the increasing growth of trains running speed, density and weight, traditional transportation control directive technology has not been able to adjust to the traffic requirements of current railway. At present, centralized railway traffic control system has developed into a new stage in China. In order to catch up with the automatization level of railage in the world, with the leading of Ministry of Railways, we are developing vigorously the next-generation decentralized self-regulated centralized traffic control system(CTC system). Centralized traffic control system is a set of technical equipment by which dispatching centre(dispatcher) can control the railway signaling equipment intensively in the territorial range and command and manage the trains directly. CTC System is the highly automatic dispatch control system which comprises the techniques of computer, network communication and modern control, adopts the intelligent distributed & self-regulated design principle, centers on control by adjusting train-running plans and takes into account both train and shunting operations.Firstly, this thesis points out the research content and design goals of the train graph and timetable and the system function and the performance requirement are established according to the introduction to the fundamental knowledge of train control system and user’s functional requirements. And then the thesis gives the CTC system models and defines system requirements. This thesis gives the general design of CTC system, clarifies the definition of each subsystem functions; it mainly studies the dispatch sub-system models division, interface design, concept model design and physical model design; it also designs some core functionalities of dispatch such as stage planning, giving and receiving of stage plan, scheduling order management and so on in detail. Among them, the stage plan includes the detail thesis of planned train graph, the auxiliary thesis of traveling line, the labels of train graph and timetable and so on; sending and receiving of stage plan consists of the saving, releasing, reissuing and signing of the stage plan, as well as the terminal system communications to the station attendant; scheduling order management comprises order classification, location management of order taking, order saving, releasing and signing, as well as the terminal system communications to the station attendant. In the design above, according to the concerned technology standard issued by Ministry of Railways or Regulations of technical management for railway, Command rules for railway transportation scheduling, this thesis gives the tailed design and effect demonstration of the dispatch sub-system, it also designs the database of this system, on the basis of system research and design.
