Electricity as a convenient high-quality secondary energy is widely used in various fields of national economy. Power industry is an important energy production sector, but at the same time,it is also energy-hungry. From power generation to supply until it’s used,the total power consumption accounts for about 28-33% of the electricity which has enormous energy-saving potential to be tapped. In power systems, transformers are widely used in order to increase the quantity and range of power transmission.3-5 times voltage change is taken place during the process of Power generation, transmission, distribution and each power link which resulting in that transformers’capacity far more exceeded the total capacity of the generators overall power system, then a serious loss appears. Therefore, the study of transformer economic operation, reduce transformer losses, is an important long-term research. The selected of transformer operating and controlling mode is the key to achieve economic operation of power system. It is not only bring considerable economic benefits by saving energy, but also has a very important practical significance for national economic development.The basic theory of the transformer and the calculation method of the transformer power loss are first introduced in this paper, then the load-power loss characteristics of transformer is introduced. The economic operation determination method of two two-winding transformers is focus on and transformer economic operation algorithms aiming at power loss is given. Based on the improvement of the existing diagram method, three-dimensional diagram method is proposed based on voltage, power factor, and load, then it’s applied to determine the mode of economic operation of transformer. Due to the frequently lifting of transformer tap and frequently switching of capacitors, Fuzzy Nine areas diagram is proposed based on fuzzy control strategy. The concept of cycle power is combined with Fuzzy Nine areas diagram,at the same time, On the premise of using cycle power as the vertical axis for building the Fuzzy three-dimensional diagram.At the end of the paper, the fuzzy PID control and economic operation of transformer are combined aim at the new energy power generation. Transformer voltage and reactive power factor as the input of fuzzy PID controller, Fuzzy PID Nine areas diagram and Fuzzy PID three-dimensional diagram are build, then they are applied to the distributed wind power projects and compared, the certain advantage of fuzzy PID diagram method in new energy power generation is proved.
