As the problems of energy and environment are on the rocks, the development of new cleaner fuels has become imminent. With the superiority of abundant, environmental and low cost, wind energy stands out from plenty kinds of energies. However, the research on wind power generation which is the mainstream application of wind resources, is greatly crossed by geography and environmental factors. It is necessary to move wind turbines to labs, which means to develop a simulation platform of wind turbine.Based on the analysis of the wind turbine simulation at home and abroad, this text puts forward a conception of simulation, with DC motor as the mover, with armature current as controlled quantity, and with TMS320F2812 as the master chip. Keeping the static and dynamic characteristic of simulation platform the same with wind turbine is the target of this article.Firstly, a mathematical model is established which relates the relationship between wind velocity, tip speed ratio, propeller pitch angle, speed of the wheel and output power. Though analyzing this model, the imitation of output power characteristic is set as the core in the simulation platform, which can be reached by controlling DC motor armature current. Based on the platform, moment of inertia and output torch are made up in order to improve the fidelity of system’s property. Secondly, this paper makes analysis on the requirement of the control system, and design control circuit which is due to chopped wave technique. According to the mathematical model of the control system, a feedback loop control method, with feed-forward compensation and cascade compensation is presented. Finally, the control algorithm above is used for simulation based on MATLAB/Simulink.According to the method above, this paper combines MATLAB and DSP as the software platform of the system. MATLAB is used to build mathematical model of wind turbine, while DSP is for the achievement of control algorithm and the real-time monitoring of the system.Experimental data based on the physical platform shows the simulation program above can not only realize high precision of output characteristic curve in the section of effective wind speed, but also keep its transient behavior the same with wind turbine. For this reason, the Simulation program presented in this article is accurate and feasible.
