Among modern scientific research and production, the oscilloscope has always played a very important role, it is able to convert electrical signals which is invisible to the images of waveform, which make it easier for lots of people to study the process of various process signal changes.we have two stages for the development of oscilloscopes, analog oscilloscope and digital oscilloscope. For digital oscilloscope, because of its unique advantages, it is increasingly widely used in research and production, instead of the role of analog oscilloscopes.Because of the importance of a digital oscilloscope and its growing popularity,to guarantee its accuracy is becoming more and more important. Instrument calibration technology stems from military needs, with the development of the civilian market, instrument calibration began to spread, and have gone through from the manual calibration to automatic calibration, these are due to the progress of the automatic test technology, In my system,VISA and IVI technology are used to to achieve some functions. For example, this system can be applied to more than one kind of oscilloscope, that is simply because of IVI.In this paper, i analyse some reserches from both domestic and foreign, combined with the knowledge that I have learned about intelligent instruments, and finally put forward a scheme about an automatic verification system for digital oscilloscope.This paper is divided into three aspects, the first one is about the technical background of oscilloscope verification, then in the second part, I will introduce the details about how to build this system, finally, in the last part, which is also the most important part, I will describe the development process of the system software.
