With the new requirement and promotion of the fire weapon system, the technical system of antiaircraft radar which was developed during the Second World War is constantly advancing. On the basis of the principle of angle measurement for radar, there are two types of system for tracking radar, the one is the system of sequential lobe angle measurement, for example, Conical scanning automatic tracking radar, the other one is the system of synchronous lobe angle measurement such as monopulse automatic tracking radar. Monopulse traking radar is dominated on Modern antiaircraft radar.Monopulse technology, which has been matured over several decades,is being widely used. The scheme of digital monpulse fire control radar system was proposed,which is further expanded on the technology of conventional monopulse fire control radar. The design conception is focused on that digital beamforming technology based on array antenna, the digital receiver technology and modern digital signal processing technology were applied to conventional millimeter wave tracking radar, that is target to achieve monopulse sum and difference function with digital beamforming technology in intermediate frequency single processing unit, so as to reduce the difficulty of manufacture for millimeter wave monopulse tracking radar to some extent, getting rid of radio frequency multi horn sum and difference processing feeder, and to solve the problem of receiver amplitude-phase consistency by channel equalization technology, thus being simplified to feeder for millimeter wave monopulse radar. Finally, radar comprehensive performance was improved, and to achieve the target of making fir control radar digital, intelligent, integration,miniaturization.
