With the quick development of petrochemical, aerospace, metallurgical, pharmaceutical and other industries, Stirred vessel is applied more and more widely and its process parameters are more and more high. As its key device, mechanical seal is playing a more important role with its higher speed and bigger shaft diameters, which result of high parameter seals. At the same time, as the important mean and basis for the development of mechanical seal technology, test device for mechanical seal is very important for its design, research, optimization, verification and so on. In this paper, according to industry standards and related theories, a comprehensive research is conducted on high parameter seal and its test device, in order to provide theoretical support and reference for its design and application.In view of series high parameters mechanical seals, based on the finite element method, fluid solid coupling model is established and face stress is calculated, which result of important laws to seal performance of contact state, stress distribution, friction and its power. Research on working pressure, stator ring height, load coefficient, O ring support position, shaft diameter and other factors is conducted on influence of seal performance, which optimized the structure. Experiments are carried out to verify the design and the results of analysis, which has a certain guiding significance for the design and optimization of the high parameter of mechanical seals.A set of high parameter vessel mechanical seal test device is designed. which includes main test rig and supporting system. The high reliability main test rig mainly comprises power and frame part, supporting mechanical seal part, seal cavity and plate part, and test mechanical seal part, which is used integrated and modular design, can fit the sealing shaft diameter changes, and can balance axial force caused by high pressure and large diameter. The supporting system mainly comprises high pressure air system, water circulation system, high pressure oil system, detection and control system and so on, which can run the test with three kinds of medium, high automatically and accurate controlling. The test device can be conducted of vessel mechanical seal running test of different shaft diameters, different working pressures, different temperatures and different revolution speeds and monitor, collect, storage and control the test data, which can not only meet the needs of the development of production, but also be of important significance for the research of the mechanical seals.Comparatives and analyzes the pressure drop method, drainage method, bubble method and other gas leakage test methods when used in mechanical seal static test. Seal leakage test device is designed and conducted to research the influence to seal leakage of medium pressure, spring pressure, surface pressure, shaft diameter and other factors. Experiments are conducted to research the influence on seal leakage of different medium and different face conditions. Through these researches, theoretical basis is provided for the revision of the mechanical seal standards.
