Pipeline transport is the fifth largest transportation after the railway transport, road transport, air transport and sea transport. The safe operation of pipelines also rouse public concern gradually. The water leakage rate is under 9% in developed countries, while the figure reached 16% in our country. In recent years, a series of water leakage accident happened frequently due to pipe aging and engineering construction of water supply pipeline leak which caused Water resources waste and economic loss. Therefore, how to locate the accurate positioning of water leakage becomes necessary issue.In this article, a complete set of water supply pipeline detection positioning system is established based on school’s actual water supply pipeline. The main points could be summarized as follows:First, the perniciousness of pipeline leakage and the significance of detection were described, meanwhile the research status of pipeline leakage detection is conducted. And then, the pipeline leak detection method and the spread of leakage signal model was determined through the mechanism and transmission mode of leakage signal. This article focuses on the water supply pipe network of Shanghai institute of applied technology, the school network topology model of pipe network was established, and the analysis method was confirmed to detected pipeline leakage.Second, leak detection system is designed in detail. First of all, leakage signal acquisition based on the Lab VIEW is designed on circuit and the corresponding program is wrote. Because the measurement signal was weak, so signal was collected through piezoelectric acceleration sensor, and then through the amplifier circuit and filter circuit, the signal of the sensor acquisition signal amplification and filtering were completed. Then analog signals was converted into digital signals via A/D conversion circuit. Sampling frequency was set according to the appropriate characteristics of leak signal, and then the corresponding program control was wrote to operate the module. Finally, the leak signal acquisition and processing were complete.Finally, Design of signal processing and leak positioning and related experimental design. Leakage signal processing is handled by Lab VIEW program. First, the stored leakage signal extraction was handled via filter processing and wavelet denoising processing to get correlation data by correlation analysis. By the algorithm of this paper, the leakage point was located according to the correlation data. By comparing the actual location with the location of the system, the calculation error show that the system was feasible. Finally draw the conclusion that the leak detection system designed in this paper were available.
