Smart home system has the advantages of convenient, high efficiency and intelligence, it has significant meaning to improve people’s quality of life and creat the convenience living environment for people. The traditional smart home systems use mobile phones and other devices require the user to manually operated, the future of smart home should move in the direction of embedded voice control. ARM is a low-power, high-performance 32-bit RISC processor, which is widely applied in the embedded field. ZigBee is a low-power, low-complexity and low-cost, which provides a good solution for smart home wireless data transmission. Therefore, the ARM speech recognition technology and ZigBee combined in smart home system has great practical significance.The thesis includes:(1) Overall plan of smart home voice control system based on embedded speech recognition technology and ZigBee is proposed. ZigBee wireless network covered home appliance control site in the plan. The deployment of embedded speech recognition module and a control module on the ARM are to realize the voice control appliances.(2) The interface resources of Mini2440 are studied. Linux kernel and U-Boot are transplanted for development board, the build embedded development platform are completed after build a YAFFS2 root file system.(3) The hardware circuit of the control node based on CC2530 SoC is designed. Analysis of the Z-Stack’s frame and the network building’s process are presented. This new system application engineering is on the basis of the protocol stack of the original works. With the use of ZigBee network communication protocol, the control node in response to a radio control instruction to realize the control function of relay switching.(4) Sphinx is used to train acoustic models, language models and make the dictionary file on PC; Pocketsphinx is transplanted to Mini2440. Voice recognition application was designed. The whole system was constructed with ZigBee wireless networks.Finally, testing of voice control system, the results show that the voice control system can satisfy the design requirements of the control of household appliances.
