| This paper introduces the development and situation of engine oil lubrication in the LNG heavy-duty trucks in domestic and overseas. Also it analyses the engine lubrication’s characteristics and the lubrication problems that caused by high power and heavy load. At last, it proposes the requirements of heavy-duty truck LNG engine lubricant’s performance and the targets when developing the oil.In the experimental section, according to the requirements of heavy trucks’ LNG engines for lubrication, it investigates the most common used oil when mixing the engine oil, the types and mechanism of non-functional and functional additives in order to select the most suitable basis oils and additives for truck LNG engines. When setting up the base oil system, through a series of precise tests, it determines the suitable ratio of base oil components and the ideal dosage of non-functional additives that coming with the development oil. Then the development oil will be run a comparison test with the same viscosity of oil and it turns out that physical and chemical indicators meet the quality requirements of the development oil and it is better than contrast objective. The compound experiments of functional additives use the simple device and the process of experiment is easily controlled, time effective and low-cost. The results show the suitable percentage and the optimum amount of additives through studying between base oil and functional additives, as well as functional additives and functional additives between compatibility. Based on above, in order to solve the test questions of multi-level and multi-factor, the paper uses the whole formula obtained by orthogonal experiment to identify the results and running a comprehensive analysis of variance weighted score and results through data standardization and SPSS statistical analysis software. At last, it determines the optimal formulations of development oil after constantly optimization, screening formula and choosing the best level combination. In the comparison test between the development oil and the oil selling in the market for heavy-duty LNG trucks, it indicates that development oil is better performing on anti-wear, extreme pressure, high-temperature clean, dispersion high temperature oxidation resistance, viscosity temperature performance, TBN retention. In conclude, the development oil can take the place of the existing oil. |
