With the further advance of the State Grid Corporation’s intense management and large-scale movements, Shanghai Munic ipal Electric Power Company(SMEPC) is intensifing efforts to the old station renovation in recent years. To ensure the reliability of the system and improve the power grid weakness in the period of renovation, the distribution network is in the urgent need of a self-healing system to optimize the network configuration.This paper elaborates the overall structure and logic function of the self-healing system, and analyses its logic behavior with instance. Seeing that IEC61850 has been widely used in the smart substation, GOOSE is applied to achieve the communication and information exchange between the main-station and sub-station of the self-healing system.The objective function and constraint for self-healing reconfiguration is presented in this paper. In order to improve the power supply reliability, a heuristic algorithm is proposed to achieve self-healing reconfiguration for distribution networks with DGs, which realize the fault diagnosis and the optimal self-healing control of power grid.Combining with “Xi Jiao to Da Chang” self-healing project instance, this paper introduces the GOOSE configuration, the dynamic simulation test scheme, the methods of single commissioning and system debug, which provides reference to the following projects.Finally, this paper concludes the research achievements and prospects the development direction of the self-healing system in the future.
