With economic development, more and more high-risebuildings are built in China.Frame-shear wall structures and frame-core tube structures are major forms of high-rise buildings. For high-rise buildings, seismic effects have very great influence. As an earthquake-prone country, the study of interstorey shear force distribution of high-rise buildings is of great significance for improving the seismic analysis and the design of high-rise buildings. The study can also ensure the safety of the structure in the earthquake, in order to reduce personnel and property losses in the earthquake. In this paper, the ABAQUS finite element software is what we choosed. First of all, several elastic-plastic finite element model are established for numerical simulation. By comparing with experimental results, the employed finite element analysis method is verified to be reasonable and effective. Then three-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element formulation of an actual project is employed to predict the interstorey shear force distribution of high-rise buildings under three kinds of seismic waves. At the same time whether the frame can play the role of the secondary lateral force resist system of the structure can also be determined. Finally,it points out that after adjusting shear force of frame, high-rise buildings is likely to exceed the adjustment value in the code under middle earthquake and rare earthquake, but the structure is not damaged. So it could adjust the shear force of frame under inelastic analysis to make the frame as the secondary lateral force resist system of the structure.
