High-rise building is the result of social development. With the rapid development of China's national economy, out-of-code high-rise buildings emerge in a large number. Many scholars at home and abroad study this type of construction, but the research about the overall design and work of out-of-code high-rise shear wall building is still comparatively less. In this paper, a out-of-code high-rise building of the beautiful Yangtze River project in Wuhan as the background, it is made nonlinear time history analysis with the finite element software abaqus and evaluated the seismic performance associating with analysis of the vibration. The main work and conclusions are as follows:(1)Through modal analysis of the structure, it if found that the first and second order mode are translational mainly and the third-order mode is vibrational. The ratio of the third cycle period T3 and the first cycle period T1 is 0.5022, which is less than 0.85 in the norms and meet the specification requirements. It indicates that the layout of the structure is more reasonable and the effects of torsion in the structure is not essential.(2)Through the vibration test of model and calculation of finite element model, it is found that the structure of the upper structure firstly appeared microfracture. Because the structure at the top of the whiplash effect is more pronounced, and the concrete structure of the axial stress play a obstacle role of the development of cracks in certain extent. But the axial pressure of concrete is small floor and Seismic force is large close to the top of structure, so it easily appeared cracks, which should be aware and taken some strengthen measures in the structural design.(3)The structure had taken two-way seismic analysis, peak seismic wave duration in the primary and secondary of which was inputed by the size of 1:0.85.The extent of earthquake damage in two-way seismic analysis is more serious than One-way seismic analysis. The One-way seismic analysis only reflected the part of the damaged component in the Two-way seismic analysis, which was not comprehensive.(4)The earthquake inputed duration time affected the damage of structure in certain extent, it is a result of degradetion of the stiffness and the resistance, when the structure went into elastoplastic level. And damage of the structure would be accumulated increasely in the subsequent inputed earthquake loads.
