Fully welded plate heat exchanger has been widely used in some industries such as chemical industry, medicine industry, mechanical industry, food industry and etc. for its high heat transfer efficiency, low flow resistance, rational structure and high reliability. The structure of heat plate and the assembly structure are the main aspects which would finally impact performance of heat exchanger. The simulation technology has been much more popular and mature with the progress of computer technology, which not only simplifies the process of designing but also provides a visible result of simulation. The new technologies assistant the engineers to optimize the existing heat exchangers and develop some new methods.The first task of the thesis is to clarify the impact of heat plate structure to the high heat transfer efficiency and pressure drop. With the relation of angle and distance analysis, the high performance heat plate would be figure out. Secondly, to design a new fully welded plate heat exchanger according to the real situation with the actual process data. The main design work is divided into the process calculation and simulation via FLUENT. Technically, the simulation could optimize the performance of the design. Moreover, the strength calculation of the main parts is also included.The deviation is around 10% after comparing with the simulation result and the real process data from the real production, which could fully prove that the FLUENT simulation and data analysis for the fully welded plate heat exchanger is practicability.
