Towers of large- span connected structures two different types of vibrations under different types of vibrations under seism action, for earthquake waves spread in a unique and complex way. So when the span of the corridor is very large, the response spectrum method chosen for seismic protection in the Code for Seismic Design in our country is imprecise for it doesn’t take effects of multi-support excitations into consideration.Introduce the types and seismic checking computation method in a detail way.Analyze the corridor of a 90 m high biaxial symmetry large-span connected structure model, which has 30 floors, in two ways. One way considers multi-support excitations, while another way is not. And compare the results, point out that multipoint excitation response analysis is very necessary. First, build the model of a large-span connected structure by YJK, and analyze the model under uniform excitation, then analyze the model by finite element analysis method, and compare the results. In this way to prove that the simplified model can be used to analyze the dynamic response of the large-span corridor. Second, analyze the dynamic response of the large-span corridor under multi input of earthquake waves by finite element analysis method which based on simplified model. Compare the results, and come up with the best location of the corridor. And from the results we know that when analyze the dynamic response of large-span corridor, must take the effect of multi input of earthquake waves.
