There are two types of pipe which used widely in drains named PCCP and FRP pipe. PCCP has the advantages of high strength, high stiffness and good seal. But on the other hand, this kind of pipe hasn’t corrosion resistance. Compared with PCCP, the FRP pipe is hard to be corroded but its stiffness is relatively lower. The multi-matrixes composited pipe is a new type of pipe which combined the advantages of PCCP and FRP pipe. This pipe contains polymer concrete lining, steel cylinder, core concrete, prestress steel wire and protective cover. During the production process, the interface between the lining and structural layers may be failure. To solve this problem, this paper focused on the interface shear performance between the polymer concrete and steel cylinder under the national 863 plan(2013AA031306). The main research content was showed as follow:1. This paper has done lots of research about the impact factors on compressive strength and elastic modulus of the polymer concrete including production process and grading.2. Based on experiments, this paper prepared the triaxial shear test samples and studied on the interfacial performance between the polymer concrete and steel under the different grading and surface treatment processes. Furthermore, in this paper, the experiment results were compared and analyzed to conclude the relationship among the interface failure, grading of the polymer and surface treatment processes of the steel.3. Research the calculation of interface between polymer concrete and steel. Through the finite element method, this paper used ANSYS to build the model for triaxial shear test and analyzed the result. To improve the accuracy of the result, interface elements were applied in the simulation process. Get the calculating parameter in different grading of polymer concrete and steel surface treatment. Parameters in process of calculation from every team are different from each other. At this point, the differrent parameters would yield the different shear properties under the different handling on steel samples and the grading.4. Focus on the multi-matrixes composited pipe experiment, this paper obtained the maximum shear stress based on the test results and the ANSYS results. Moreover, whether the interface strength could meet the requirement of project was discussed.The encouraged conclusion would guide the production process of the multimatrixes composited pipe, and could provide some references for the application of the pipe.
