Study On The Performance Indicators Of Methanol Gasoline Additive

Energy has always been the focus of the world, especially since the new century, energy shortages and environmental problems caused by the use of energy are more worthy attract our attention, so many countries have been dedicated to looking for a clean and efficient new energy or alternative energy sources to solve a series of problems which the energy brings. As a motor clean alternative energy sources, through of the unremitting efforts over the years by all aspects, the methanol gasoline promotion and application has made great progress, the pilot work of the methanol gasoline conduct in an orderly way, in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Guizhou, Shanghai and other provinces and cities. The advantages of clean, environmentally friendly, better economic are gradually being understood by the general public. Methanol gasoline additive can improve the performance of methanol gasoline, improve the shortage of the methanol gasoline, it plays a crucial role to the production of methanol. The "vehicle fuel methanol" and "car with methanol gasoline(M85)" and other national standards have been put forward. 2013, according to the latest results and local specialties in Shaanxi, the local standard "car with methanol gasoline(M15)" and "car with methanol gasoline(M25)" were revised which have implemented for many years. It shows the Shaanxi Province play a important to the development of methanol gasoline. At present, the national standard methanol gasoline additive also stepped up among custom.The national standard of Methanol gasoline additive include appearance, boiling range, mechanical impurities, moisture, pH, sulfur content, nitrogen content, organic chlorine content, metal corrosion, additive content and other indicators, but additive heat value, oxygen content, combustion rate and carbon residue have not included, these indicators also has an important influence on the performance of methanol gasoline additive, so this article has studied the four indicators which the national standard is not included.This paper analyze significance and influence to methanol gasoline and the engine of heat value, oxygen content, combustion rate and carbon residue, and take on experimental to the heat value of methanol gasoline additive, oxygen content, combustion rate and carbon residue. Finally according to the experimental results analyze the reasons for the formation of the experimental results. If the nature of the methanol gasoline additive has many differences with methanol gasoline will affect the overall performance of methanol gasoline. So in this paper, I put forward some suggestions of the indicators for the further research of methanol gasoline additive standards, with considering the results and its causes and the factors in the use of methanol gasoline.
