Recently, the private car holdings rise rapidly in China. Meanwhile, the city is short of land resources. In order to meet the demand for parking spaces of people, and to have an effective use of land resources in city, underground parking garage is becoming the main trends of Chinese parking construction in the future. With poor air circulation, underground parking garage is closed. It will produce a lot of pollutants which has a large amount of carbon monoxide when the car starts, running and cut off. The pollutants are harmful to human health. As a result of that, using reasonable and effective ventilation system for underground parking garage construction is crucial.At present, there are two kinks of the mechanical ventilation systems used in the underground parking garage in C hina: non-ducted fan induction system and traditional ducted ventilation system. Compared with conventional ducted ventilation system, the non-ducted fan induction system has a series of advantages. This paper pays attention to the comparison between the advantages and disadvantages of the non-ducted fan induction system, combined with the actual conditions, and have a detail description and presentation about the designing and using of the non-ducted fan induction system.The paper is based on the computational fluid dynamics theory. With the FLUENT software numerical simulation platform, this paper uses the ?? ? turbulence model, and chooses the control volume method to discrete equations and to solve equations with the SIMOLE algorithms. Combined with the actual conditions of the non-ducted fan induction system, the paper made a numerically s imulated calculation about the concentration field of air flowing and pollutant(CO) produced during using of the non-ducted fan induction system. In addition, this paper has a deep research and analysis about the distribution characteristics of air-flow distribution and the concentration field of CO.Through the analysis of simulation calculation results, this paper finds that by using the effective dilution of the non-ducted fan induction system, the pollutants such as CO are exhausted, which has a good effect of ventilation and reaching the goal of improving air quality of underground garages.
