The main methods to forecast wind pressure of large-span roof structure are wind tunnel test and numerical simulation. Wind tunnel test longer cycle and costly, and the actual complex wind profile of the terminal area and geographical environment determines the wind tunnel can not simulate the actual situation entirely accurately. With the development of computer technology and the improvement of the numerical analysis theory, the numerical simulation method of wind pressure prediction is gradually getting more and more researchers’ wide favors. Its obvious advantages of low cost and high efficiency determine the scope and depth of the research and application of this method is continuously widen and the immeasurable potential for development. This paper, based on the atmospheric turbulence flow basic characteristics and the basic principle of computational fluid dynamics, gives the wind pressure of the terminal roof and the surrounding environment a various variable parameter simulation study in many aspects with CAD and Gambit as preliminary treatment software for modeling and meshing and FLUENT software as simulation platform. Through comparing the results with wind tunnel test data, determine the best way to grid, turbulence model, the discrete format of the grid, boundary conditions and convergence criteria of numerical simulation, and take the multiple values for average method to improve the accuracy. On the basic research work, this paper discusses that how the different wind direction, different wind speed, terrain types and other factors affect the surface wind pressure distribution and the shape coefficient of the model, analyses a variety of reasons of the influences, and concludes the most unfavorable wind direction of the roof, the cornice and the different partitions. Its methods and results of data provide a certain reference for wind resistance design of similar large-span roof structure.
