Curved girder bridge with continuous graceful curve and irregular terrain adaptability, so the curve beam bridge has been widely used in Engineering. The collision of curved girder bridge under the action of the strong earthquake occurred mainly joints and adjacent expansion in bridge expansion joints, which will cause severe cracking by local beam or abutment damage, even beam-falling damage. Lateral torsional coupling is the main characteristics of curve beam bridge. This leads to the complex response to the curved girder bridge under the action of earthquake in the collision Based on the engineering background of Xi’an Shi Bridge of ramp A, the finite element model is established by nonlinear time history analysis of the use of Kelvin model of contact element method, and the buffer material under the action of earthquake response of curved girder bridges was analyzed; Based on the those control parameters the effects of viscous dampers on response of structural were studied;Sensitivity analysis was made of influence parameters of selected seismic response of the curved beam bridge. Finally, on the basis of the relevant research conclusion reasonable collision-reduction measures was put forward for curved girder bridge under earthquake. The main contents of this paper include:Based on the addition of rubber buffer material, the effects of the collision on collision force, internal force, stress and displacement of the structure was analyzed; The location of viscous damper with the control parameters getting the best response was discussed, and the influence of viscous dampers on collision response of viscous damper at this position was studied; Several parameters were seleced to analysed the sensitivity to collision response of the curve beam bridge, including the peak ground motion acceleration, the stiffness of the buffer material and collision element, different radius of the curvature, different collision models(damping). Finally, some reasonable methods to reduce the collision were proposed based on the analysis of the conclusion of the above three points, mainly including adjusting the width of the crevice between the beams, setting energy dissipation device or buffer materials.
