FSAE is a kind of automobile design and manufacturing competition which participated by Chinese college students majoring in vehicle engineering. Because of the game rules limit the engine intake and exhaust systems, the re-design intake and exhaust systems has the low charge efficiency, lead the engine and the original configuration of the electronic control system not match either. How to solve the reduction of engine power performance after re-design the intake and exhaust systems has become one of the subjects of racing team..Based on the suzuki GSX-R600 engine as the research object, the system analyzes the electronically controlled gasoline injection engine structure composition and control principle, on the basis of the basic parameters of the engine are studied in detail and the structure characteristics of the electric control system, according to the requirement of the competition rules and the design of inlet and exhaust systems is to redesign the restructuring, put forward the total replacement type ECU- MoTec M84 ECU scheme to replace the original machine; Design a calibration test according to test requirements, completed the mechanical connection of engine and dynamometer, equipped with test instruments, MoTec M84 to replace the original machine after ECU line circuit system restructuring and wiring harness production, and completed the construction of the platform. The basic ways of calibration test bench was studied and the MoTec calibration method, through the Mo Tec M84 Manager calibration software of ECU parameters initialization Settings, make replace the ECU of the engine can work normally;Using the MoTec M84 ECU on the inlet and exhaust system of engine power performance as the target from the calibration, the matching of engine fuel injection MAP figure after finished the replacement of ECU, ignition advance Angle MAP figure and environmental parameters on the fuel injection pulse width and ignition advance Angle compensation MAP calibration test of the graph.After complete the calibration of the engine, making comparison testing for full-load characteristic by using engine original ECU and MoTec M84 ECU. the results show that through re-matching and re-calibration, the torque has promoted 21%, and the power promoted 13%. Compared the original engine the power performance has been significantly improved, achieving the expected goal.
