Carbonaceous mud stone with a weathered, low strength, disintegration of the engineering properties of water, if not handled properly can easily cause roadbed disease. This article is based on carbonaceous mud stone whether it can be used on expressway have made a series of studies. Which the Liuzhai-Hechi expressway is the support construction.On the basis of the existing soft rock filling.Over Carbonaceous mud stone road performance, physical properties of water, as well as settlement patterns of embankment construction quality control and other issues, through indoor and outdoor tests and finite element numerical simulation analysis carried out:Through chemical analysis, the basic physical properties, particle size analysis, CBR test, compression test, direct shear, triaxial tests on water management and carbonaceous mud stone disintegration.Indicate if the carbonaceous mud stone state tends to disintegrate completely, by its nature relatively stable embankment meet the strength and stiffness requirements, can be used for highway embankment.Analyzing the constritutive model,combining the Laboratory tests, found that it’s relationship of Stress-Strain is closer to Duncan-Chang constitutive model. According to different degree of compaction under the condition of finite element model is set up, get the horizontal and vertical displacement deformation characteristics Based on secondary development platform of large finite element software ABAQUS. All these are prepared for the sedimentation characteristics.
