Flight is an important method for people to travel in the modern society. Improving flight safety has always been a significant topic all along. Statistics from variety of sources all indicate that 70%~80% of the flight accidents were caused by pilot operational errors led by human factors. Thus, study on aviation human factors plays an important role in improving flight safety. This thesis is supported by the National Basic Research Program(973) of China under Grant No. 2010CB734103, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China under No. 61305141.Pilot is the core position of handling plane, and people acquire information largely from vision. Pilot needs to acquire all kinds of flight information by viewing the scene outside the cockpit and the instruments inside the cockpit in order to make decisions and to control the plane by controllers inside the cockpit. We live in three-dimensional world. We acquire the stereo visual information through two eyes.This thesis mainly covers the following aspects: analysis on both foreign and domestic state of art of the visual perception field, and the analysis, designing, conducting process of the visual perception comparative experiments, together with the processing and analysis of the results from them, in order to find out the influence of stereo presenting on visual perception.The study shows that in the collision detection experiments in which the observers are static, stereo presenting method has significant influence on people’s visual perception. In stereo viewing condition, people generally have higher judgment accuracy and lower difference between people. The trajectories of the objects or the people themselves, the viewing angle and some other factors have influence on the visual perception performance. But in the abstract approach simulation, stereo presenting method brings rather lower sensitivity.
