By using gravitational precipitation to remove suspended solids in water is simple and feasible. At present, advection sedimentation tank covers a big area, has a high cost of infrastructure. The small ramp sedimentation tank exists some problem for example biofilm grows in the tube. the tube is clogged easily and can affect water quality. In order to solve the problems above, we design conveyor tank instead of ramp sedimentation to deal with sewage, the type of tank can scrap mud under the condition of full mud, thus can avoid the danger of being broken in sludge. The topic is mainly divided into three stages to complete: tank model drawing designing stage, the tank body and the external tank making stage, settling the tank to deal with the sudden suspension stage. The first phase of the tank is the design of the whole diagram, parts diagram, each part diagram of external tank. The second stage we mainly use acrylic organic glass to make parts and each part will be assembled into the tank. The third stage we mainly use assembled tank to deal with processing preconfigured water and verify that the type of tank has an good treatment for sewage.By experiment of dealing with sudden suspension we found that under the same concentration but different flow of sewage, removal rate of solid suspended particles is different. The higher the flow, the greater the turbidity and the treatment is poorer. Under different concentrations the removal efficiency of tank for sewage is closed. Removal rate of the tank for suspended solids can reach 80%. When the flow is small the average removal rate can even exceed 90%.Thus the conveyor tank has a good treatment effect for sewage and it is simple convenient and easy to scrape mud for the sedimentation tank.
