Lithium ion battery has the advantages of high specific energy, long cycle life and no environmental pollution, and has been widely used in the field of electric vehicles,consumer electronics and so on. Recalling the history of the development of lithium ion batteries, is also the lithium ion battery continuous toward high capacity, long cycle life and high safety improved, however unreasonable design of the battery and abuse, can easily lead to internal battery thermal runaway, cause fire, explosion and other unsafe factors.Therefore, to improvement of the safety and the long life of the lithium-ion battery is one of the topics that must be attached to the development of lithium ion batteries in the future.This paper mainly from two aspects of the battery performance design and structure design of the impact factor for the optimization of lithium-ion battery design.Select NCA as the cathode material and silicon carbon material as the anode,preparation of lithium ion power battery by lamination process. Study on the effect of battery design on the performance of Li ion battery from the following aspects:Through the study of negative and positive capacity ratio on the performance of lithium ion battery, choose the proper ratio of N/P. The results show that the cycling performance of the battery is the best when N/P=1.2; To study the effect of different electrolytes on the performance of lithium ion battery, through experimental analysis found that binary and ternary electrolyte system has little effect on the cell performance.On the market of soft packaging lithium ion battery for stack process optimization,study on the charging and discharging performance and cycling performance of lithium ion battery by changing the position of the ear, and further optimize the reasonable lug position,to improve the safety and service life of the lithium-ion battery. Through the experimental study, the position of the electrode has a great influence on the battery performance, the performance of the battery of the lug position in the same side is worst, the performance of the battery of the lug position in the both side is better.By changing the cell aspect ratio design to analyze lithium ion battery length to width ratio on the electrochemical properties of the battery effect, to obtain reasonable size of the battery to improve lithium ion battery active material utilization rate. The size of the batteryhas little effect on the battery performance, but the influence on the lug position in the both side is greater than the lug position on the same side.Through the study of the pole piece size and the lug position effects of lithium ion battery and analysis factors affecting the cell performance degradation, The study found that the electrode position and battery size can affect the utilization of active substances in the battery, damage to the material structure and other properties of the battery. Through comparative study help us select high safety performance, long-life battery design, and provide technical reference for the lithium-ion battery.
