The precision ball transmission as a new form of precision macinenery transmission, with series of advantages, such as high efficiency and non-backlash, it is widely used in the field of precision machinery. The paper has done a study of the three-dimensional solid parametric design, meshing efficiency and virtual prototype simulation, on the base of precision ball transmission principle, structure and kinematics analysis.Accordance with the principle and structure of precision ball transmission, analyzes the modeling conditions in three-dimensional modeling software. Derived the permissible range of ball radius value, for both epi-trochoidal and hypo-trochoidal wave profiles in three-dimensional modeling design software.On the base of rolling ball transmission, studied the kinematics analysis for the encased precision ball transmission, deduced the transmission ratio of four kinds transmission structure and ball locus equation.Based on the method of transformation mechanisms, analyzed instantaneous efficiency and average efficiency by analyzing the pressure angle of transformation mechanism. In connection with the two forms of encased precision ball transmission, studied the possible existence of encased power.Based on the function of secondary development of Solid Works, established three-dimensional model of critical parts; To achievevz parts automatic assembly and generating assembly model. And established three-dimensional model for rolling ball transmission and encased precision ball transmission.Imported the model into ADAMS software and based on the analysis of meshing constraints, then rolling ball transmission and encased precision ball transmission dynamics is simulated.
