As a part of the modern architecture, water supply pipeline has relation with people’s quality of life, every family and even everyone, but there also exist many problems which affect people’s quality of life and health. As a modern architecture, people may pay much attention to the building’s shape, interior design and function facilities without knowing that a small problem caused by water supply pipe may affect the construction and utilization of the whole building, that is the so called is the so-called " The devil, was destroyed by the nest ". This article obtains from the market survey to understand all kinds of material performance, tap into practical problems involved water supply pipe in the actual life. Starting from the design source, based on the basis of tube performance, effective balance to meet the use of functions, in accordance with hygienic standards, safe and reliable performance, convenient and feasible construction, beautiful and elegant the effect consequence, reasonable and moderate elements such as cost, summed up some optimization methods and measures for design and construction of the water supply pipeline, and contribute for modernization construction and green and healthy life in today’s society.This article aims to talk about all kinds of material performance, performance condition, both advantage and disadvantage of water supply issues involved in real life from the perspective of the market research both domestic and overseas,as well as the process and trend of water supply specialty in Chinese architecture. This article also analyzes water supply pipeline problems existing during the construction which can provide reference for actual design and construction.1. The selection of pipeline materials should be according to the application requirements, working environment, installation method, working pressure and temperature, etc. This article analyzed different pipes and came to the following conclusions:currently census lining or smearing galvanized steel pipe is often used for main pipe of water supply system in terms of building water supply construction as well as thin-walled stainless steel and other high-grade pipe, as for the branch pipe, the plastic material pipe such as PP–R is being used widely. In terms of convenient construction and cost, thin-walled stainless steel tube has the following advantage: high grade, good sanitary conditions, convenient construction, but the price is also higher; the lining or smearing plastic stainless steel tube has the following characteristics: moderate grade, in accordance with hygienic conditions and convenient construction; for the terminal branch pipe part, which the wall or plate pipe inside need dark apply especially, PP–R plastic pipe material is the better choice for its qualified health standard, convenient construction and moderate price.2. Piping should be designed according to customer requirements from the following several aspects such as the design of the water supply system, water supply pipeline layout, water standpipe distribution, water supply pipe distribution, water supply pipeline isolation noise reduction design, water meter setting, and combined with other pipeline for careful reasonable design and configuration. In accordance with the above approach not only meet the functional requirements, but also achieve beautiful appearance.3. Pipeline construction should correct selection of pipe diameter, reasonable change diameter in time, eliminate the feed water pipe noise, etc. in view of the problems existing in the reality. From the factors such as safe, reliable and economical for pipeline design, excavation trench should be in accordance with the standards of excavation trench. Properly installed water supply pipe to prevent pipe blockage and leakage problems occur. Avoid the influence of other pipes reasonable. Through the above method optimize the optimal scheme of pipeline construction.4. The cost analysis of pipeline construction should give attention to both economy and reliability, and be possible to reduce the cost of construction with the premise of selection pipe material.5. Through water supply pipeline design and construction optimization of hospitals, office buildings and hotel, aiming at different place and customer demand, it realized convenient construction, affordable total cost, in favor of later period maintenance and meets the greatest needs of customers.
