Southwest China is rich in water resources, the typical geographic and geological conditions are generally high head and large discharge, a large fall.World-class mass of high arch dam construction brought of flood discharge and energy dissipation for high arch dam has become an acute problem.Compared to the spillway flood discharge and energy dissipation of spillway, shore, hole Dam spillway is an economical and reliable way of flood discharge and energy dissipation.Paper summarizing research of flood discharge and energy dissipation for high arch dam based on the Jin Sha Jiang Xulong 1:100 hydraulic structural integral model of hydropower station as the background, using physical model test method, the orifice discharge capacity, flow in plunge and bottom pressure and a study on local scour of Riverbed.The main results are as follows:1. Analysis in this paper summarizes the development of construction of high arch dams at home and abroad, discusses the opening of high arch dam flood discharge method of classification, selection of type and layout principles.2. Physical model tests analyzed the dam wall drain hole size and discharge capacity, test results show that the hole in the table the joint flood discharge dam and hole meets design needs, and had 1~2% surplus.3. Discussed the Riverbed plunge pool energy dissipation in the mechanism and the dissipation effect.Dam discharging into plunge pool formed after water submerged hydraulic jump.No water straight into the failed water cushion pool and slopes on both sides of the tongue, Tang flow returned to normal the sluggish state converge with the downstream water surface smooth, water tank is good, no significant jump for the second time under the two dams.Hole separate flood condition is the plunge in geometrical dimensions control condition.4. The analysis of the various impact conditions Plunge Pool hydrodynamic pressure variation, body program is studied in this paper in a variety of integrated solutions minimal impact pressure, high flow table, in a joint open vent hole is Plunge Pool stability control plate design conditions.5.
