Concrete filled steel tube as a new kind of composite structures,meet the requirements of industrialization and modern construction technology, More and more widely used in high-rise and super-tall building medium as load-bearing column. In order to prevent lamellar tearing due to welding, in this paper, By using thin-walled steel tube instead of thick-walled steel pipes, better use of the advantages of both materials.Based on ANSYS finite element analysis software of thin-walled circular concrete-filled steel tube short columns under axial compression performance of studies, Figures calculated on the basis of simple practical bearing capacity of concrete-filled thin-walled steel tube short columns under axial compression formula. This paper covers the following aspects:1. First on the constitutive relations of structural determination of element type, material selected, the mesh density and methods of strengthening the convergence of analyses. Analysis shows that the ANSYS finite element simulation method for high precision and accuracy, can be used as the basis of this paper.2. By referencing a previous test data, the designed component, ANSYS finite element simulation result comparison with the cited material. Shown ANSYS finite element analysis for the bearing capacity of concrete-filled thin-walled steel tube short columns under axial compression is feasibility study.3. By ANSYS finite element simulating results of core concrete of bearing coefficient of relationship with restraints coefficient curves, numerical analysis using linear regression method of thin-walled concrete-filled steel tube short columns under axial compression bearing capacity calculation formula.4. According to previous test data calculating formula of concrete-filled thin-walled steel tube with the on this article compares the formula given in the statutes at home and abroad. Results show that the proposed formula is consistent with results of our code, and on the safe side; other formula was too conservative and less precision.5. Proposed formula is applied on matching-relationship of material strength and diameter-thickness ratio and the size effect of ultimate bearing capacity factors are discussed, draws some practical conclusions with reference value.
