Turbine governing system has a pivotal po sition in the process of hydroelectric power, its function is not only to maintain the stability of the speed of unit, but also including the start,stop, synchronize gene rator set, inc rease & reduc e its lo ad and accident stop, etc.; Health status of hydro turb ine governing system is good or bad will directly affect normal operation of the unit. So, in order to guarantee the normal operation of the unit, the research of tu rbine governing system for health status prediction is of great significance.Through the research of tu rbine governing system equipment diagnosis method, the method of combine the fault tree and expe rt system is presented to achieve health status prediction of hydro tu rbine governing system research. Related parameters of turbine governing system health status prediction include of signal m onitoring, collecting, recording, analysis and diagnosis, thus th e purpose of the com prehensive performance analysis and the prediction for health status.Turbine governing system fault tree was established by applying the fault tree analysis, and carries on the qualitative an alysis, calculate the m inimum cut-set to simplify the fault tree of the system.The research of turbine governing system health status prediction, hydro-power station opera tion personnel real-tim e understanding health status of system,detecting early of the system possible fault,saving the maintenance time, improving work efficiency.On the basis of fault analysis and the study of the knowledge representation method of fault tree, the diagnosis knowledge library of turbine governing system is constructed based on fault tree, and the reasoning m ethod is given. Finally, the deficiencies are summarized, some Suggestions are given.
