Study On The Post-Occupancy Evaluation Of The Adaptability For Elderly Of The Green Government-subsidized Housings In Shenzhen

Since 1998 China put forward to build the government-subsidized housings supply system based on the affordable housing for the first time.With the rapid development in the period covered by the 11 th and 12 th five-year plan, China government-subsidized housings is in the national large-scale construction stage at present.Shenzhen, as a city focus on environmental protection, proposed the new government-subsidized housings should be fully in accordance with the green building standards from 2010 September.The construction of China government-subsidized housings is still at an initial stage. Shenzhen green government-subsidized housings begin to construct less than 3~4 years, has already been facing a series of problems,such as whether the green government-subsidized housings is more excellent than the normal one;whether the living quality of them had been improved;are there any problems in them?Therefore Shenzhen green government-subsidized housings worth to investigate. But nowaday the available research about the green government subsidized housings is generally for the standard of government subsidized housings and green building respectively,and only limied to the design stage, lack of the post occupancy evaluation combined with the psychological feelings and behavior of household.At the same time, the problems of aging population in China have become increasingly prominent. Although the extensions of the elderly life expectancy, the family structure become smaller, while the problems of elderly living alone and “empty nester” gradually appear. At present, the home-based care for the aged as the main form of pension need the support from all aspects. The endowment function of government subsidized housings has attracted the attention of the society. While study on the post-occupancy evaluation of the adaptability for elderly of the green government subsidized housings, is an important way to accumulate relevant construction experience.Based on the environment-behavior studies, this paper investigates the status of Shenzhen government subsidized housings, while combining with the lifestyle in the south. Through the various investigations, this paper has a deep look at the characteristics and demands of the elderly and "potential aging" residents living behavior and psychology, in order to further understand the households’ living desire and evaluation of the residential indoor environment based on the green design. And based on the mathematical statistics method and comparative method to analyze data, this paper tries to evaluate the adaptability for elderly of the green government subsidized housings. According to the impact for the eldly, the research aim to find the possible optimization design strategies for the green government subsidized housings.
