In recent years, our country traffic construction obtained the rapid development. With the increasing of operation period and traffic volume in China, many bridges have appeared different degree damages so that lots of bridge bearings need to be replaced because of fatigue aging. In order to ensure the safe operation of the bridge, studying on the bridge bearing replacement methods has a certain theoretical and practical significance in engineering. This paper introduces the types of bearings, and discusses their common diseases, analyzes the causes of diseases. Then, it detailly analyzes the working principles, the scope and the advantages and disadvantages of the replacing methods of main domestic bearings. This paper takes a simply supported beam bridge with continuous deck as the researching object. The bearing force and angle of original bridge are calculated by the finite element software MIDAS CIVIL. Then it chooses rectangular and circular elastomeric pad bearings that are commonly used in highway bridges to analyze, so that we can better understand the methods and steps of bridge bearing design.According to the engineering example, this paper uses the finite element software ANSYS to model the bridge under dead load, prestress and vehicle load, and then focuses on the analysis of the mechanical properties of continuous deck structure. Then it simulates the bridge bearing replacement at the maximum jack-up value of 10 mm, respectively, by using pier jack-up bearing replacement method, span jack-up bearing replacement method and integrally jack-up bearing replacement method. It get the following results of the maximum tensile stresses of the continuous deck structures: 1.58MPa、1.61MPa、0.63 MPa.Comparative analysis shows that, using integrally jack-up bearing replacement method, the maximum tensile stresses of the continuous deck structures is not only 0.95 MPa smaller than that generated by using pier jack-up bearing replacement method, but also 0.98 MPa smaller than that generated by using span jack-up bearing replacement method. So, the integrally jack-up bearing replacement method is the most beneficial to the bridge when it is being replaced bearings. The results of this research have certain reference value on the bridge with the same bearing replacement problem.
