“Non-visual Elements”in The Landscape Design Of Residential Areas

The current design of the landscape too much emphasis on the visual effects, especially in residential landscape has fallen into "visually oriented" shackles, ignoring the user’s overall perception. To enhance the overall experience of the landscape, increasing the "non-visual elements" concerns, the article from the perspective of people’s overall perception of the residential landscape design in the "non-visual elements" were studied.First studied auditory landscape, tactile landscape, smell landscape, taste landscape of domestic and foreign research status, and analyze the links between Sensory Experience. That summarized the expression of non-visual elements of the Landscape. Among them, hearing the sound of landscape elements, including natural and artificial sound; tactile landscape elements including proactive, reactive and induce type; olfactory landscape elements mainly refers to the scent of aromatic plants; Taste landscape elements refers to the fruit of plants.Then, based on this, proposed residential landscape specific method to create auditory landscape, tactile landscape, landscape smell, taste the landscape, and Applied it to Hechang Yunhedongjun mansion in Yangzhou city. Among them, creating auditory landscape through positive, negative and zero design three design methods; create tactile landscape through hard landscape elements, soft landscape elements, incorporeal landscape elements designed to achieve; olfactory landscape primarily by aromatic plants configuration and gas plant shield against negative absorption to achieve; less taste in residential landscape in the use, including participatory and non-participatory taste landscape Design landscape Design taste.Thesis finally, summarized the role of various non-visual elements in a residential landscape design, and follow-up studies the possibility of ascension space.
