Structural vibration caused by earthquake, wind load, and impact load has brought great harm to human life and property security. Using smart materials can suppress structure’s seismic response and improve structural safety. 80% of control technology used in current engineering practice is PID technology. However, being a new kind of digital control technology, active disturbances rejection control(ADRC) has far exceeded PID in many ways. ADRC’s adaptability and intelligent control function bring it broad application prospects. In this paper, simulation of transmission tower module structure is carried on using ADRC and it is proved that ADRC has good control effect in structural vibration control. Main content of this thesis is as follows.(1)In this paper, component modules of ADRC and each module’s functional principle and second-order discrete algorithm are introduced. Decoupling control of multi degree of freedom vibration system which belongs to multivariable system is explained. And also, the core module of ADRC extended state observer’s tracking process is analyzed.( 2) According to separation principle in controller design, this paper uses adaptive genetic algorithm to optimize the parameters of each module setting. After that,this paper optimizes the parameters of extended state observer module and nonlinear error feedback law module step-by-step. Furthermore, this paper makes simulik simulation on transmission tower module structure and impose different seismic wave peak on structure. Simulation results show that ADRC has good control performance for structural vibration systems. Without taking control energy consumption into consideration, ADRC has good control effect. However, if considering vibration displacement and control input at the same time, its control effect is not good enoughdue to the application of parameters optimized by genetic algorithm. But in actual practice, ADRC only needs displacement information fed back by measuring points.Thus, ADRC’s simple application, calling no need for accurate mathematical model and its anti-disturbance ability make ADRC an intelligent algorithm which has wide application prospect.( 3) The structural control is applied on structure through actuator, thus the position and quantity of actuators will affect the control effect directly. According to transmission tower structure model, this paper makes comparisons among different conditions of actuators’ quantities and placement. It is concluded that in the first layer of the structure, actuators should be added to ensure the minimum energy structural consumption and best vibration damping effect.
