| Shear walls are the main anti lateral force component in the high-rise building structure. Ordinary concrete shear walls with heavy self-weight suffered the major earthquake action, with poor ductility, damage repair difficult,ect. Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional shear walls, walls with vertical gaps and metallic dampers which set vertical gaps are proposed, and the walls rely on external energy dissipation device to dissipate seismic energy, reduce or even eliminate the main structure of the damage, so as to improve the the seismic performance of shear wall structure.The project made the walls with vertical gaps and metallic dampers, study on the bearing capacity and deformation properties through cyclic loading test, including failure mechanism of structures under seismic action, hysteresis characteristics and Energy dissipation capacity; study on the ability of energy dissipation and energy dissipation mechanism, through the performance analysis of force on metallic dampers. Based on experimental study, Finite element software ABAQUS was employed for validation of the proposed models. Results from numerical simulations and test data are in good agreement, verifying the correctness of the proposed models. To discuss the method of seismic design of shear walls with vertical gaps and metallic dampers. The main research results are as follows:(1) open vertical joints, shear wall stiffness reduction, weight is reduced, the ductility increased; at the same time can make it by shear failure form into bending shear type failure or flexural failure;(2) with vertical joints and metal damper concrete shear wall crack distribution range, the diagonal crack is slow, extending more slowly;(3) with vertical joints and metal damper bearing capacity of shear walls than ordinary cast-in-situ wall slightly low, but is not greatly reduced; and the ductility increase than ordinary wall, hysteretic curve more full;(4) the cast-in-place wall decreased faster rate in the ultimate bearing capacity of load, destroyed suddenly some, with slits and shear wall metal damper down long, at ultimate bearing capacity, to allow a larger deformation, the late deformation relatively stable;(5) metal damper energy dissipation device can consume the most energy, so the structure is protected;(6) on the basis of theoretical analysis, the design method of vertical joints layout and number of suggestions;A preliminary discussion on the influence of seismic performance of concrete strength, axial compression ratio on the model of shear wall. |
