Electric power system is an important pillar of our social and economic development. With the continuous development of social economy, people put forward the higher request to the power supply. To guarantee the safe operation of power grid and power facilities is the primary task of the electric power industry. But the power grid accident brings a lot of economic loss to the country and people. The high temperature of electrical contacted point will cause a fire, and this is the main reason for frequent accidents. So controlling this temperature is an important measure to reduce the hidden risks.Considering the actual situation of power temperature measurement, this paper studied the temperature monitoring system in power grid, which based on optical fiber temperature sensor model. The main research contents are as follows: This paper introduced the principle of optical fiber temperature sensor, which based on the thermochromic technology to realize the temperature monitoring; This paper completed the design and preparation of the fiber optic temperature sensor of high electric field strength and high magnetic field intensity; At the same time, this paper took Internet technology as the foundation, making a design of application system in power network temperature monitoring, and completed the development of the application software; This paper completed the deployment of the temperature monitoring application system in the hardware and software of substation; This paper studied the postback data, visualization, intelligent analysis, data monitoring etc. This prevented the risk in power system.
