Because measurement field has a huge requirement about auto-collimator in our country. However most of the machine made by our country with low accuracy behind some other countries. As for this common phenomenon, this thesis supply a research on photoelectric auto-collimator based on PSD. The integral structure is composed by laser, optical lens group,PSD, its hardware and software processing system.During the research, analyze the old optical paths and redesigned it, Which effectively reduce the volume and the weight of the auto-collimator It makes the theory of system simply and operation easily. The research demarcated PSD by Coordinate Measuring Machine and correct the nonlinearity of PSD by Artificial Neural Networks BP Optimization Algorithm.It can ensure the auto-collimator whole-range measurement repetition precision and also improves the measurement precision of PSD.The technical indicators of photoelectric auto-collimator are: measuring range ±5′; error of whole-range measurement less than 0.2″; measuring resolution less than0.01″: measuring distance is 10 m, which are applicable to minor-angle precise measuring environment.
