Magnetic fluid has magnetism and liquid duality characteristic. If a permanent magnet is submerged in the magnetic fluid, according to the principle of the second-order buoyancy of magnetic liquid, the permanent magnet can implement a suspension in the magnetic fluid through its own magnetic field. When the permanent magnet moves reciprocating in the magnetic fluid shock absorber, because the magnetic fluid flows, the permanent magnet will be affected by viscous resistance and energy loss is produced.According to the working principle of magnetic fluid shock absorber, there are three forms of energy loss in the magnetic fluid shock absorber through analysis of the flow velocity of magnetic fluid, magnetic fluid yield strength, and the motion equation of permanent magnet. When the magnetic fluid flows between the permanent magnet and container shell, magnetic fluid has the velocity gradient and energy loss is produced; when the magnetic fluid on the permanent magnet end face collided with container shell, the permanent magnet is affected by damping force and energy loss is produced; influenced by a magnetic field, magnetic fluid has certain yield strength, the coulomb damping force is related to the yield strength, making the coulomb damping force produce energy loss. Forced vibration simulation of magnetic fluid shock absorber is analysed in the vertical direction vibration; the magnetic fluid damper is installed in the vertical direction vibration cantilever beam and its damping vibration experiment is conducted. the influencing factors of magnetic fluid shock absorber damping effect is acquired.
