Currently, energy dissipation structure design in the development of state in seismic design of building structures, in the future structure of the seismic design of energy dissipation technology will become mainstream, because energy dissipation technology has simple construction, accelerate the construction period and good of damping performance etc. features.In the article, for types and principles of energy dissipation control technology were introduced, and the type of damper, construction of damper and works of damper for energy dissipation structures were discussed. On this basis, explores the restoring force model of viscous dampers and buckling restrained brace that its commonly used in project, and for the members to do the mechanical performance test, derived components under cyclic loading hysteresis curve and energy performance.Secondly, for energy dissipation technology design ideas, principles and analytical methods to do a detailed introduction, and study on the equivalent linearization of viscous dampers and buckling restrained braces, proposed it is effective means that energy equal to the energy dissipation components equivalent linearization. Also summarized the viscous dampers optimal design method in the structure, and combination with engineering examples of analysis results, comparison the damping effect that between the layers of drift angle greater evenly arranged viscous dampers and direct search method for viscous damper arrangement.Finally, the use of large-scale structural analysis software ETABS, combined with the design methods and analysis methods, that the above-mentioned energy dissipation techniques. Respectively uncontrolled structure, additional viscous damper energy dissipation structure and additional viscous dampers and buckling restrained braces of energy dissipation structures were calculated. Comparative analysis of the dynamic characteristics of the structure of the three conditions, come viscous dampers only structure to provide additional damping ratio, does not affect the structure of the natural cycle, does not change the stiffness of the structure. In three conditions, according to the contrast analysis that the structure of the dynamic characteristics, story drift, layer shear, obtained the overall structure seismic effect and damping performance were uncontrolled structure, additional viscous damper energy dissipation structure and additional viscous dampers and buckling restrained braces of energy dissipation structures.
