As the requirements of fighter performance increasing, vectoring thrust technology is paid more and more attention. The control device of aero-engine vectoring thrust nozzle is important for vectoring thrust technology. So in this paper some modeling and simulation research on a design of thrust vectoring control device is conducted.First of all, the structural and functional analysis of the control device is conducted. Secondly, the parameters of each element are theoretical calculated according to the performance indexes. Furthermore, the model of the system is established in AMESim. Robustness, dynamic, static performance and the model performance in failure mode are considered to analyze the structure design and the parameters obtained by theoretical calculation. The results of simulation are used to improve the design. Finally, a new design is discussed and compared with the original one.The simulation in AMESim shows that the principle of the control device is correct. Some parameters are optimized by matching study. The optimization of parameters ensures the normal operation and improves the performance of the system. The discussion of a new design provides a new idea for the design of vectoring thrust control device.
