During cruising and maneuvering flights, civil aircrafts produce aerodynamic and torque under the influence of atmospheric disturbances. Therefore, undesirable additional overload is imposed on aircrafts, which not only leads to structure fatigue damage, but also increases the difficulty of manipulating as well as reduce passengers’ riding comfortablenes. This paper mainly focuses on the research of airliners’ gust load alleviaiton control technology, putting forward feasible control schemes for gust alleviation, completing the design and simulation of the control law, developing a software to visualize the control resultsFirst of all, the mathematical model is established based on the analysis of atmospheric disturbance in this paper. Then combing with gust load alleviation control technology of foreign civil aircrafts, a control scheme is designed on the study of sensor layout, control surfaces and control mode Furthermore, Symmetric ailerons, elevators and spoilers are controlled by active control technique to achieve the target of gust load alleviation.Then according to the two types of gust atmospheric turbulence and wind shear, the synthesized linear system model of aircraft and gust is constructed,combing with longitudinal linear motion mathematical model of an aircraft. The normal overload, used as a performance indicator for the design of control law about gust load alleviation, is minimized by adopting LQG/LTR and LQR respectively. Simulation results derived through MATLAB / Simulink, demonstrating that the control law designed in this paper can decrease the gust load effectively.Afterwards, combing the mathematical model of atmospheric turbulence with the model of longitudinal nonlinear motion mathematical of airplanes, the synthesized nonlinear system model of aircraft and gust is established. For this synthesized system model, backstepping technology is used to design a adaptive control law about gust load alleviation. Simulation results show that the proposed control law can mitigate the impact of gust on the aircraft effectively.Finally, the software for gust load alleviation control is designed based on Lab VIEW. and MATLAB/Simulink. This software can contribute to the flight control and the state observation. Furthermore, it verifies the effect of the designed gust alleviation control law and realizes visualization.
