Energy harvesting technology is crucial to mems and wireless sensor networks because it helps to realize their low-cost, utility and automatic development. Vibration energy exists extensively in natural environment and is easily to be obtained. It can be collected and translated into electrical energy by interface circuits of energy harvesting technology. As a kind of vibration energy harvesting technology, piezoelectric energy harvesting technology can effectively solve the trouble and pollution of battery replacement for its simple mechanical structure, high output powers, no electromagnetic interference and pollution. The author do some research about interface circuits of piezoelectric energy harvesting system. The main results are as follows:1. The electromechanical model of energy harvesting system is developed from the piezoelectric equation.2. The working process of Standard, SECE, Parallel-SSHI and Series-SSHI interfaces are analyzed. So the theoretical harvested powers as a function of the load and electromechanical coupling coefficient of four classical interfaces are derived considering the constant displacement amplitude and force amplitude respectively. Then a new efficient energy harvesting interface circuit, named SSBI(Synchronous Switches and Buck-boost Converter Interface) is designed. And a comparison between the SSBI and four classical interfaces are given.3. The working process and harvested power of Standard, SECE, Parallel-SSHI, Series-SSHI and SCEI are simulated in Multisim.4. The experimental measurements are carried out to present a comparison between Standard, SECE, Series-SSHI, Parallel-SSHI and SSBI interface circuit when the generator is driven with constant displacement amplitude. The experimental results show that the SSBI interface circuit has the slightly smaller harvested power value than Parallel-SSHI interface circuit, but it increases the harvested power dramatically by almost up to 250% compared with the SECE method.
