Research On The Design Of Ward In Large General Hospital

With the improving of the economic level in our country, the medical and health services in our country has developed rapidly in recent years, people’s medical need is also increasing at the same time. In this background, to meet the medical needs of the market and improve its service level and competitiveness, many hospitals have started to reconstruct and extend its medical building, set off a new upsurge of construction in medical profession. Inpatient building as an important part of hospital building, also obtained the rapid development in recent years. Ward is the largest and the most important composition unit of the inpatient building, and also the place inpatients spend most of their time in hospital, it’s design quality not only affects the users’ comfort and satisfaction, but also decided whether the construction of inpatient building is economic and reasonable. Although the ward built in recent years has got a certain development, but also has a large gap compared with foreign advanced ward, this was determined by China’s current national conditions. Based on the above background, this thesis is devoted to put forward the ward design strategies which adapt to the current national conditions of our country.This thesis selects the ward of large general hospital as the representative research object First, analyzes the background of ward construction and development, then summarizes the correlated studies of ward both at home and abroad. On this basis, this thesis analyzes the influencing factors of the design of large general hospital ward, including medical and health services status, users’ behavior and demand, and the limit of interior space. Based on theoretical research, this thesis has carried on the field research. Research content is consists of two parts: a part of it is the investigation of the current situations of the wards in many large general hospitals; another part is through the way of questionnaire survey to realize the users’ behavior and needs.Through field investigation and collection and analysis of the investigated results, this thesis summarizes the existing problems and contrad ictions of the ward of domestic large general hospital, including the following aspects: ①The service condition of sickbed is insufficient, and the users’ demands have contradiction with the actual situation;②The layout of ward adopts the form of simple thus lack of diversity and adaptability;③Relevant dimension of the ward can’t meets the actual requirement well;④The indoor environment is monotonous and lack of richness, comfort and humanized design;⑤Relevant supporting facilities have contradictions and d isadvantages to meet the demand of ward users. Based on these problems and contradictions, this thesis combines the analysis of the influence factors of the ward design, the investigation of the users needs and the collection of outstanding design case at home and abroad, puts forward the five design strategies of the ward of large general hospital from the feasibility and universal level. According to the five design strategies,this thesis has carried on the thorough analysis and expounded.
