Nowadays, special weather frequently happens, and the phenomenon like stinks back to the WC is also common. When in the windy and rainy days, people live at the top floors of the buildings reflect that the situation of stinks back to the WC is more frequently. Also this situation is more common in summer.So called special weather commonly included windy and rainy weather.During the 1930 s, domestic and foreign scholars have done lots of experiments about building water supply and drainage, tests about discharge capacity of the vertical pipe, and researches of tubular product, pipe fittings, and drainage apparatus etc. in common weather. However hardly any of them had done their drainage experiments in special weather.The object of this drainage experiment is the drainage system in special weather. In order to find out the influence factors and influence range, experiment firstly done a serious of instantaneous flow drainage experiment in storm weather condition. It was shown in the result of the experiments that wind speed was the biggest influence factor of the special weather condition of the building drainage system. The special weather’s main influence range was the top floors of the high-rise buildings.According to the result got from the prevenient experiments that wind speed influenced the building drainage system mostly, so in the nest experiments, fan was needed for imitating the windy condition in special weather. In the experiment of imitating windy condition with fan, by changing the angle of fan air outlet to imitate different wind blowing angle; by changing toilet number or the opening degree of steady flow installation to adjust the drainage flow; by changing the pipe diameter at the top of the vertical pipe to adjust the ventilation flow. The experiment used instantaneous flow and steady flow these two methods and did drainage experiments in all lower zone, center zone and higher zone.Through the experiment of imitation windy weather condition by fan, it was shown that wind influenced the top floors mostly. If wanted to relieve or eliminate the influence from special weather to the drainage system, should shorten the angle of the wind and horizontal direction; should reduce the drainage flow or enlarge the pipe diameter; should adequately reduce ventilation area at the top of the vertical pipe; or install non return valve at the top floors of the buildings.
