The Comparative Research On The Landscape Evaluation Of The Traditional Natural Village And The New Village In Xuzhou

This paper based on the SBE method of psychophysical evaluation method of landscape evaluation, taking the four traditional villages and three new rural demonstration villages of Xuzhou as a sample area and 100 college students and 100 public people as the volunteer to study the influence of traditional natural village and new rural landscape features of Xuzhou area on landscape aesthetic experience. The results of the study show that, for the traditional natural villages landscape aesthetic preferences, three elements of landscape are the reliable and stable predictor of traditional natural village landscape aesthetic preference, they are water accessibility,the coverage of vegetation, landscape color number.The results also shows that landscape sketch and the open degree of landscape view have a significant effect on the new rural landscape. The aesthetic preference improved with the emergency of landscape sketch. But with the open degree of the landscape increasing people’s aesthetic experience reduced. People tend to stay in a certain confidentiality space. In this paper, we tried to explore the difference of traditional natural village and the new rural landscape’s features and aesthetic preference through comparative study methods. The results show that they have 7 differences landscape features: the percentage of plant cover, the building age, the percentage of road paving, the number of landscape color, color contrast of landscape, environmental maintenance degree,landscape sketch. At the same time, the article also concludes that the mean score of the new rural aesthetic preference scores is higher than the traditional natural villages.That is to say, the current new rural construction, to a certain extent, improves rural living environment. However, the results also shows that, although the overall traditional natural village landscape aesthetic preference is lower than that of new rural area, but there are still have some traditional natural village landscape that can make people obtaining higher aesthetic experience. Some landscape qualities of traditional natural villages also can inspire the new rural landscape construction. The paper has also studied the influence of group characteristics to people’s aesthetic preference, trying to explore the different characteristics between the groups preference level that whether there are differences in four aspects, the age, gender,professional background and living environment as a basis for dividing group feature,the study concluded that group characteristics have a certain impact on the rural landscape aesthetic preference.
