Matrix rectifier evolves from matrix converter. It possesses the advantages of variable input power factor and nearly at unity, variable output voltage polarity, no large energy storage component, bi-directional power flow, the ability to achieve true four-quadrant operation and facilitate modular, etc. The subject selected matrix rectifier as research subjects. But the matrix rectifier is common buck converter. It will be subject to some restrictions in some applications. In order to increase the output voltage of the rectifier matrix, the Z-source network matrix rectifier is introduced. It has a boost function, expanding the scope of application of the matrix rectifier. So it is of great significance to study working of the Z-matrix rectifier, modulation strategy, control methods. The current space vector modulation of matrix rectifier topology and the commutation strategy are studied. And the corresponding model is established and matrix rectifier is simulated in the simulation software of Matlab/Simulink. A test platform is built based on DSP and CPLD. The corresponding experimental waveforms are acqusited,The correctness of the theoretical analysis and feasibility of the circuit are verified by experiments. This provides an experimental basis for further research of matrix rectifier.Z-source matrix rectifier topology is proposed against the low voltage transmission ratio of matrix rectifier, and the corresponding working principle and modulation strategy are analyzed. The corresponding relation between the output and input voltage is got, thus the voltage boosting capability is proved. The correctness and feasibility of the Z-matrix rectifier theory are verified through simulation and experiments. The switched-inductor Z-source matrix rectifier and the tapped-inductor Z-source matrix rectifier are proposed against limited voltage boosting ability of Z-matrix rectifier. Working principles of the two topologies are analyzed and the relation of corresponding output and the input voltage is obtained. Thereby the boosting capability of the two topologies is compared. The correctness and feasibility of the two topologies are verified through simulation and experiments. At the same time, the voltage boosting capability of the Z-source matrix rectifier, the switched-inductor Z-source matrix rectifier and the tapped-inductor Z-source matrix rectifier are compared. The control strategy for the Z-source matrix rectifier is analyzed. Based on the mathematical model, a dual loop control mode of output voltage outer loop and Z-source inductance inner current loop are employed. The correctness of Z-source rectifier dual-loop control strategy is verified by the mutation of setpoint and load in the simulation and experiments.
