Power system’s function is supplying power to the satellite, if the part has faults which would affect directly the life of the entire satellite and even make the satellite become rubbish. So diagnosis for the power system has great significance. But now the fault data of the system is very deficient, and it leads the development of its fault diagnosis technology is limited. So the paper took the GEO satellite ’s power system for example and established the simulation model of its some parts, and then simulated the fault modes of them, and at last got the corresponding fault data.Fistly, the paper introduced the simplified mathematical model for silicon solar cell, and then established its simulation model, described the calculation method of inputs and outputs, and analysed the consequence. Similarly, the paper established the mathematical model of nickel-hydrogen battery by data fitting and simulated model by Simulink, and then introduced its fault modes and analysed emphatically the performance degradation fault mode.Sencondly, the paper took the S4 R control way for example and established the simulated modes of SR, BCR and BDR, and then introduced the typical fault modes, fault simulation methods and fault results. At last, the paper established the simulation model of the satellite’s power system according to the relation of each part’s inputs and outputs. And then took the actual load of a satellite as the input of the whole model and got the corresponding results. And showed the threshold feature and associated relationship features according to the output and relationship among parameters. Finally, the paper used them diagnosed two faults including solar array’s deployment fault and batteri’s perfoamance degradation fault.
