As the foundation of the satellite attitude control system, the satellite attitude determination system consists of attitude sensors and attitude determination algorithms which the accuracy depends upon these two sides. Once launched, satellite is hard to be repaired in the severe environment so that it is significant to conduct simulation experiment on the ground. Therefore, the research on the satellite high accuracy attitude determination algorithm and simulation technology is worthy.Initially, the domestic and foreign research status of attitude determination is concluded and the “gyroscopes & start sensors” configuration is selected for the satellite attitude determination. Several classical coordinates and attitude descriptions are listed and the principles of the attitude sensors are anlysised after establishing the kinematical equations.Furthermore, the mathematical simulation platform is created by the satellite high accuracy attitude determination algorithm based on EKF and the accuracy index system is built via the simulation trial data.Moreover, the satellite high accuracy attitude determination algorithms based on UKF, PF and CKF are studied. The accuracies and application features of these satellite attitude determination non-linear filter algorithms are summarized according to the simulation.Ultimately, the research on the design and realization of the satellite high accuracy attitude determination simulation system is taken based on the three-axis air-flotating platform. The ground full physical simulation experiment platform is constructed to imitate the satellite attitude determination with the measurements of the sensors. The experiments of attitude determination using EKF, UKF, PF and CKF are conducted to prove the validity and availability of the satellite attitude determination simulation system.
