Droplet ejection technology is a new molding technology. In recent years, a variety of droplet-related technologies, developed from the droplet ejection technology, have made a more remarkable achievement in many fields. Uniform droplet spray deposition manufacturing technology is a new type of rapid prototyping technology from 1990 s, which is one of these technologies developed from the droplet ejection technology. Currently, according to different implementations of the droplet ejection, it can be divided into continuous jet and drop-on-demand. The technology of drop-on-demand jet droplets are attracting researchers’ attention because of its adjustable, high precision deposition.In this dissertation, a complete drop-on-demand inkjet printing deposition system is established, and is verified by taking the example of printing the plane array of bumps.First of all, the overall plan is analysed and designed. The ‘PC + data acquisition card + piezoelectric ceramic’ is used for droplet drive system. The ‘PC + camera + strobe light’ is used for online monitoring system. The ‘PC + motion control card + servo motor’ is used for the motion system. Lab VIEW is used as a software development platform for this system.Secondly, the research and development of inkjet system and motion system are carried out. The development of injection device, the drive system for the piezoelectric ceramic and the strobe light based on the output voktage sampling points and the online monitoring system based on image processing and detection are finished in the research and development of injection systems. Then the drive system and the online monitoring system are integrated to acomplish the development of the injection system. The development of three-axis motion deposition platform, the jet printing movement path planning algorithm based on ant colony algorithm thinking of the machining path planning in order to improve the efficiency of the entire system and the motor control system are finished in the research and development of the motion system.Finally, a variety of experiment are carried out to verify the correctness of this drop-on-demand inkjet printing deposition system.
