Recently, repetitively operated pulsed power generators with a moderate peak power have been developed rapidly. Many studies of industrial applicat ions of pulsed power, such as food processing, medical treatment, water treatment, exhaust gas treatment, ozone generation, engine ignition, ion implantation, material processing and others, came about with the development of such pulsed power generators. Whereby, pulsed power supply based on resonant converter is widely used for its high efficiency, small volume, light weight, fast dynamic response and good load adaptability.The conditions of constant output current of LCC resonant converter have been deduced in this paper. The value areas of quality factor Qr and the ratio of series and parallel resonant capacitor A have been determined by comparative analysis. To optimize the parameters of resonant tank will guarantee the LCC resonant converter output constant current under different parameter fluctuations.Pulsed current source based on two-stage series and parallel resonant converter has been presented in this paper. The amplitude, frequency and duration of output current are adjustable, and the power factor is high. The Buck circuit regulates the DC bus voltage and the LCC resonant converter output the adjustable and stable pulse current. Active power factor correction(APFC) circuit proposed in this paper to solve the problems of poor electromagnetic compatibility and low power factor.The control strategy of the two-stage series and parallel resonators converter has been designed in this paper. The state space equation has been adopt to model Buck circuit and extended function description method has been adopt to model LCC resonant inverter respectively, meanwhile, the control loop of the system is realized by the transfer function compensation and the design of control loop will improve the stability and dynamic response speed of the system.An experimental platform of pulse power supply based on LCC resonant converter has been set up, the rationality and feasibility of design are verified through the experiment.
